Where to Watch: MNMT

The Orlando Magic (37-40) will face the Washington Wizards (16-59) on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Magic lead the season series 3-0, having won their previous matchups on November 10 (121-94), February 23 (110-90), and March 21 (120-105). Currently, Orlando is looking to improve their standing in the Eastern Conference, while the struggling Wizards aim to snap a three-game losing streak.

Injuries will play a significant role in this matchup. The Magic will be without Jalen Suggs for the season following arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The Wizards face their own challenges, as Bilal Coulibaly is sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to a right hamstring injury sustained on March 13, and Corey Kispert is out for the season after undergoing thumb surgery. The Magic are poised to complete a season sweep, while the Wizards hope to salvage a victory despite their injury woes.

Check out Brad’s BEST PICKS, including his $19 PICK OF THE DAY!

Kentavious Caldwell Pope Over 7.5 Points

KCP has averaged 8.6 points per game, with a field goal percentage of 43.0% and a three-point shooting accuracy of 33.0%. Caldwell-Pope has also contributed 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Notably, he achieved a season-high 24 points on two occasions.  His reliable shooting and defensive skills have been valuable assets to the Magic throughout the season. KCP has scored 8+ points in 6 of his last 9 games. With how many 3pt shots the Wizards give up, this should be another good matchup for KCP to have a solid scoring night.

Jordan Poole Over 16.5 Points

Jordan Poole has averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. Poole has maintained a field goal percentage of 43.0% and a three-point shooting accuracy of 38.1%. His consistent scoring and playmaking abilities have been vital for the Wizards throughout the season. Poole is coming in a massive game where he put up 35 against the Heat. With how banged up this Wizards team is, he’s one of the only guys in this squad that can get a bucket himself. I expect another 20+ point game from Jordan Poole.

Carlton Carrington Under 11.5 Points

Carrington has averaged 9.1 points per game, shooting 39.5% from the field and 33.0% from three-point range. Carrington has also contributed 4.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Carrington has scored under 11 points in 8 of his last 10 games, and I don’t see things easing up on him in this one. The Magic have one of the best perimeter defenses in the league, and for a young player like Carrington, I think he struggles to create offense in this one.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
