I've liked what Clingan has been able to bring to this Trailblazers team in just his rookie year but this is not a great spot for him especially on the boards. He will be matched up with Nicole Jokic all game which is a nightmare for a rookie. The Nuggets are giving up only 49.8 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is the second fewest in the whole league. I expect a tough night for Clingan.

If the Portland Trail Blazers want to keep up in this game they will need Simon's to attempt and make multiple three-pointers. The Denver Nuggets do a lot of things great but they have been susceptible to the three-ball this season. They are giving up 13.9 3-pointers per game to opposing teams which is the 7th most in the whole league. 

Nikola Jokic Over 28.5 Points

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has been a dominant offensive force in the 2024-25 NBA season. Over 48 games, he is averaging 29.8 points per game, ranking him third in the league. His shooting efficiency includes a field goal percentage of 57.5%, placing him 10th in the NBA. Jokić's scoring has been instrumental in the Nuggets' offensive strategies this season, providing both scoring and playmaking from the center position.

We saw the Nuggets and Trailblazers play just on Monday night and in that game, Nikola Jokic had 40 points. I wouldn't be shocked if he did it again in this one. He'll be matched up with rookie center Clingan who just isn't ready to guard a guy like Jokic. Expect another massive night from Jokic before the all-star break.
