Anthony Black has been a contributor to the Orlando Magic's offense but we’ve seen him have consistency issues as of late. He has appeared in 44 games, averaging 9.3 points per game. His scoring is complemented by averages of 3.5 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game. In a notable performance on January 12, 2025, Black contributed 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists, leading the Magic to a 104-99 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Black has struggled as of late scoring over six points only once in his last five games. We've seen him score a combined four points in his last three games. Even with his lackluster performances as of late oddsmakers are still setting his point lines between 6-9 points. I’m looking to fade Anthony Black until we see him look like his old self.
Jamal Murray Under 2.5 Three Pointers
Jamal Murray has been a significant contributor to the Denver Nuggets' offense during this NBA season, particularly with his three-point shooting. He has played in 44 games, averaging 20.4 points per game. From beyond the arc, Murray has made 89 three-pointers, averaging approximately 2.0 made three-pointers per game on 5.6 attempts, resulting in a 36.0% success rate.
With that being said I don't think this is a great spot for Murray to have a good night beyond the arc. We've seen him make under 3 3-pointers in his last three games and he's only cleared this line in two of his last 10 games. He now faces this magic team that has one of the best perimeter defenses in the league. Orlando is giving up only 11.2 three-pointers per game to opposing teams which is the fewest in the whole league.
Franz Wagner Over 4.5 Assists
Franz Wagner has been a pivotal playmaker for the Orlando Magic. He has played in 31 games, averaging 5.2 assists per game. This marks a significant increase from his previous season, where he averaged 3.7 assists over 72 games. In a standout performance on January 24, 2025, Wagner recorded seven assists, along with 32 points and four rebounds, contributing to the Magic's 121-113 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Wagner's enhanced playmaking abilities have been instrumental in the Magic's offensive strategies this season. He's coming off a game where he secured five assists against the Golden State Warriors. there should be another great spot for him to fill up the stat sheet going against the Denver Nuggets who are giving up 29.8 assists per game to opposing teams which is the most in the whole league. It looks like we will be able to get some plus odds on this line which is great value regarding the matchup Wagner has.
