The Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks collide at Madison Square Garden in a pivotal NBA Game 5 on Tuesday night. Here's a Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks Prediction.
Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers will have their eyes on taking the lead for the first time in this series after blowing past the Knicks in a 121-89 home win in Game 4 on Sunday. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists, TJ McConnell tallied 15 points with 10 assists off the bench while Pascal Siakam chipped in with 14 points on seven of nine shooting. As a team, the Pacers shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and 14 of 31 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Knicks from the start and were never in danger after dominating the first quarter by 34-14. In fact, the Pacers led by as many as 43 points in this one before they took their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter.
New York Knicks
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks will be going back the drawing board after getting run off the floor by the Pacers in an ugly loss in Game 4. Alec Burks led the team with 20 points off the bench, Jalen Brunson added 18 points with five assists while Miles McBride chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Knicks shot a miserly 33 percent from the field and seven of 37 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nightmare start and could never recover after scoring just 14 points in the first quarter dominated by the Pacers. Donte DiVincenzo had a quiet game of just seven points on three of 13 shooting while Josh Hart finished with just two points on one of six shooting.
Why the New York Knicks will win
- The Pacers have lost each of their last 10 playoff road games following a win.
- The home team has won each of the Knicks' last nine Eastern Conference Semifinals games.
- The Knicks have covered the spread in each of their last five home games following a loss.
- The Pacers have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five playoff games as underdogs against Atlantic Division opponents.

Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks Prediction
The Pacers once again have Tyrese Haliburton listed as questionable, while the Knicks are still missing OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle. The Pacers needed to come out swinging to avoid falling into a 3-1 series deficit, and they certainly did that on Sunday where they made it look easy against the Knicks. The Pacers clearly have all the momentum now, but the Knicks still have home court advantage, and they've won four of their last five home games during these playoffs. The Pacers will be brimming with confidence following their easy win on Sunday, but I expect the Knicks' role players to step up at home. You can make an argument for either side here, but I'm leaning towards the Knicks to get the job done at the short line.
