The Phoenix Suns will be hoping to square up the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 at the Target Center on Tuesday night. Here’s a Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves prediction.
Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns must have come into the series with plenty of confidence, but they will be going back the drawing board after getting embarrassed by the Timberwolves in a 120-95 road defeat in Game 1 on Saturday. Kevin Durant led the team with 31 points on 11 of 17 shooting, Devin Booker added 18 points with five assists while Bradley Beal chipped in with 15 points and six assists. As a team, the Suns shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they struggled early, falling behind by 10 points at halftime before they got blown out in the second half. Booker had a quiet game as he shot just five of 16 from the field, Jusuf Nurkic scored just nine points and they got just 18 points from their bench.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be full of confidence following their dominant home win in the series opener on Saturday. Anthony Edwards led from the front with 33 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points with seven rebounds while Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line as they took control with 34 points in the second quarter, before they clamped down defensively and held the Suns to just 44 points in the second half to make it look easy in the end. Mike Conley had a rough game as he scored just four points on two of 12 shooting, but the Timberwolves got plenty of support from their bench players who combined for 37 points.

Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves prediction
The Suns could be shorthanded for this one with Grayson Allen currently listed as questionable, while the Timberwolves are keeping an eye on Kyle Anderson, who is questionable also. The Suns will be so disappointed with the loss in the series opener, as they just didn't show much of a fight after leaking 34 points in the second quarter. The Timberwolves came out ready to play and dominated on the back of 33 points from Edwards. The Suns have plenty of room for improvement, and I'm sure we'll see a better team when the series shifts to Phoenix. It's hard to envision anything but a similar result in this one, with the Timberwolves taking a 2-0 series lead.
