The Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Lakers meet Saturday in NBA action at the crypto.com Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Cavaliers vs Lakers prediction.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a real slump as they've lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting scorched by the Suns in a 122-101 road defeat on Wednesday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 24 points, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen each scored 20 points while Darius Garland chipped in with 15 points and eight assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 47 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line, but they had no answers for the Suns on the defensive end and were always fighting an uphill battle after getting outscored by 72-47 going into halftime. The Cavaliers could do little to slow down the Suns' duo of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant who scored 40 and 32 points respectively. The Cavs will meet the Clippers and Grizzlies after this one.
Los Angeles Lakers
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in great form as they've won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after sneaking past the Wizards in a 125-120 road win on Wednesday. Anthony Davis led the team with 35 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks, LeBron James added 25 points with seven rebounds and nine assists while Rui Hachimura chipped in with 19 points on nine of 12 shooting. As a team, the Lakers shot 50 percent from the field and eight of 28 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 39 points in the first quarter to erase an early 11-point deficit, before they survived a late scare from the Wizards who cut their 17-point lead to just two points midway through the fourth quarter.

Cavaliers vs Lakers prediction
The Cavaliers are still shorthanded with Dean Wade, Craig Porter and Isaac Okoro all still out, while the Lakers are still without Christian Wood and Jarred Vanderbilt. The Cavaliers have been struggling for form, and the return of Mitchell hasn't provided instant success. The Lakers are playing some of their best basketball of the season despite dealing with the injuries, and I think they can keep it going with another win at home. The Lakers have opened as modest favorites in this one, but I think they get the job done with ease at home.
