The Portland Trail Blazers and Washington Wizards meet Friday in NBA action at the Capital One Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Wizards prediction.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers have been in terrible form as they've lost 14 of their last 17 games overall, but they will be breathing a sigh of relief after snapping a 10-game slide with an 89-86 road win over the Hornets on Wednesday. Deandre Ayton led the team with 24 points, 16 rebounds and two assists, Scoot Henderson added 22 points with 10 assists on nine of 16 shooting while Jabari Walker tallied 14 points with 22 rebounds on four of 17 shooting. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 39 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line as they wasted an early 11-point lead to allow the Hornets back into the contest, before they made up for it in the fourth quarter where they held the Hornets to just 20 points to escape with the gritty road win and snap a 10-game losing streak.
Washington Wizards
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a rut as they've lost four of their last five games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after coming up short to the Lakers in a 125-120 loss on Wednesday. Jordan Poole led the team with 29 points and five assists on 10 of 19 shooting, Kyle Kuzma and Corey Kispert each scored 17 points while Tristan Vukcevic chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 49 percent from the field and 18 of 42 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they kicked off the game with a 19-8 run to take the early lead, only to get outscored by 31-10 the rest of the first quarter to trail for the rest of the game. The final score isn't quite respective of how one-sided the game actually was, because the Lakers led by as many as 17 points before the Wizards rallied late to keep it to single digits. The Wizards will face the Raptors after this game.

Trail Blazers vs Wizards prediction
The Trail Blazers are still missing a host of players including Shaedon Sharpe, Malcolm Brogdon and Anfernee Simons to name a few, while the Wizards are keeping eyes on Richaun Holmes, Johnny Davis and Deni Avdija who are all questionable. Both teams are just so banged up at the moment and there is so little to play for at this stage of the season. The Wizards have looked like a different team lately, and I think they can get the job done at home at this short line.
Peter’s Pick Washington -1.5
