The Miami Heat and Houston Rockets meet Friday in NBA action at the Toyota Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Heat vs Rockets prediction.
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have been in pretty good shape as they've won seven of their last 11 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their three-game win streak halted by the 76ers in a 109-105 loss last night. Terry Rozier drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 22 points, Jimmy Butler added 20 points with five assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Heat shot just 41 percent from the field and 13 of 43 from the 3-point line as they clawed their way back from an early 16-point deficit only to go ice-cold and score just 17 points in the fourth quarter to allow the 76ers off the hook in a disappointing finish. The Heat will play against the Pacers after this game.
Houston Rockets
Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets look to have cooled off from their 11-game win streak as they have now lost three in a row after getting thrashed by the Warriors in a 133-110 loss last night. Jabari Smith Jr led the team with 24 points on eight of 17 shooting, Cam Whitmore added 17 points off the bench while Jalen Green chipped in with 13 points and seven assists. As a team, the Rockets shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 40 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace with the Warriors from the start and simply got outscored in every quarter as they just had no answer for the Warriors' Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who scorched them for 29 points apiece.

Heat vs Rockets prediction
The Heat are still missing Josh Richardson and Tyler Herro, while the Rockets are still missing Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. Both teams are playing this one on zero days rest, but I have to give the advantage to the Heat who have been the more consistent team all season compared to the Rockets who have been more streaky. This should be a close one, but I prefer a play on the Heat at the short line in this spot.
