The LA Lakers and Brooklyn Nets meet Sunday in NBA action at the Barclays Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Lakers vs Nets prediction.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have been in fine form as they were riding a five-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Pacers in a 109-90 road defeat on Friday. Anthony Davis led the team with 24 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, Austin Reaves tallied 16 points with 13 rebounds and six assists while LeBron James racked up 16 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Lakers shot just 40 percent from the feild and five of 30 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to hang close with the Pacers in the first half, but it was all downhill in the second half where the Lakers got outscored by 55-41. D'Angelo Russell had a rough night as he shot just three of 14 from the field and zero of six from the 3-point line while Spencer Dinwiddie scored just five points on one of six shooting. The Lakers will meet the Raptors after this one.
Brooklyn Nets
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have lost eight of their last 12 games overall, but they are now gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Bulls in a 125-108 home win on Friday. Cam Thomas led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Dennis Schroder added 27 points with seven assists while Mikal Bridgesdrained seven 3-pointers to finish with 25 points while Nicolas Claxton chipped in with 11 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Nets shot 47 percent from the field and a sizzling 25 of 44 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they trailed going into halftime, but they simply caught fire and finished with 78 points in the second half to make it look easy in the end.

Lakers vs Nets prediction
The Lakers could be missing a few players here with Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Gabe Vincent all listed as questionable, while the Nets are still missing Ben Simmons and they have Cameron Johnson listed as questionable. The Lakers clearly come into this one as the team in better shape, but the injury cloud hanging over their two best players really puts a spanner in the works. Assuming that at least Davis or James is able to suit up, I like the Lakers' chances of getting the win and cover at the reasonable line.
