The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat meet Sunday in NBA action at the Kaseya Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Cavaliers vs Heat prediction.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a rut as they've lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Timberwolves in a 104-91 road defeat on Friday. Darius Garland led the team with 19 points, Caris LeVert added 16 points with six assists while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 42 percent from the field and seven of 29 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they took the narrow lead into halftime, but that all changed in the second half where they got outscored by 58-42 as they just couldn't make their 3-point shots, especially Garland who finished with zero of six shooting from behind the arc.
Miami Heat
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been struggling a bit lately as they've lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting run off the floor by the Pelicans in a 111-88 loss on Friday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 17 points and five assists, Cole Swider added 14 points off the bench while Bam Adebayo tallied 12 points with 10 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Heat shot just 36 percent from the field and a miserly 13 of 47 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of grit to keep pace with the Pelicans in the first half, but their lack of offense caught up to them in the second half where they got outscored by 65-46 to suffer their biggest defeat of the season.

- The Cavaliers are one of only two teams with two players averaging a double-double this season.
- The Cavaliers rank 2nd in the league for Q2 opponent points per game this season (26.5).
Cavaliers vs Heat prediction
The Cavaliers are still missing a bunch of players including Max Strus, Dean Wade and Donovan Mitchell, while the Heat are still without Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson and Josh Richardson to name a few. Both teams are banged up for this one which makes it difficult to predict, but the Heat are more trustworthy when it comes to playing shorthanded and I think they can get over the line if Butler and Adebayo can have big games at home. This should be a close one, but I am leaning towards the Heat to get the narrow win and cover in this spot.
