The Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks meet Saturday in NBA action at the State Farm Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Hornets vs Hawks prediction.
Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets have been in a real slump as they've lost 10 of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game slide after getting routed by the Magic in a 112-92 road loss on Tuesday. Brandon Miller led the team in scoring with 21 points, Vasilije Micic added 20 points on eight of 10 shooting while Miles Bridges chipped in with 16 points and five assists. As a team, the Hornets shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to another terrible start and were never truly in the contest after getting demolished by 67-32 in the first half. Nick Richards finished with just four points and no Hornets bench player scored more than five points.
Atlanta Hawks
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in a real funk as they've lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after routing the Suns in a 128-115 road loss on Thursday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 29 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists, De'Andre Hunter added 22 points while Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 37 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but it didn't last long at all as they just had no answer for the Suns who poured in at least 30 points in every quarter to blow them away.

Hornets vs Hawks prediction
The Hornets don't have a single player listed on the injury report while the Hawks are still missing Trae Young, Jalen Johnson and AJ Griffin to name a few. The Hornets have easily been one of the worst teams in the league over the past couple months, but it's not like the Hawks have been much better as they've struggled with the rising injury toll. You couldn't back either side with much confidence these days, so while I like the Hawks to get the win at home, I just feel that the line is too hefty for this matchup.
