The Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks meet Saturday in NBA action at Madison Square Garden. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Nets vs Knicks prediction.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have been in a real slump as they've lost seven of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after getting run over by the Bucks in a 115-108 road loss on Thursday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 24 points, Nicolas Claxton added 22 points with nine rebounds on nine of 12 shooting while Cam Thomas chipped in with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 44 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to claw their way back from a 20-point deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter, only to allow the Bucks to go on a 10-2 run late in the game to slip away in another disappointing finish. Dennis Schroder had a rough game as he scored just five points on two of nine shooting while Lonnie Walker finished with just two points on one of seven shooting off the bench. The Nets will meet the Raptors after this one.
New York Knicks
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in fine form as they've reeled off five wins in their last seven games overall, but they are looking to bounce back in this spot after getting stopped in their tracks by the Nuggets in a 113-100 road defeat on Thursday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 26 points and nine assists, Isaiah Hartenstein added 20 points on eight of 10 shooting while Alec Burks chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Knicks shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line, but they weren't at their usual standards on the defensive end as they just had no answers for the Nuggets' Michael Porter Jr and Nikola Jokic who torched them for a combined 61 points.

- Nicolas Claxton ranks 1st in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for FG% (63.2%) this season.
- Cameron Thomas is one of only six players to have scored 35+ points off the bench in a game this season.
Matchup/League Facts
- The Knicks rank 1st in the league for Q1 opponent points per game this season (26.4).
- The Knicks ranks 30th in the league for pace this season (95.5).
- The Nets rank 30th in the league for opponent free throw percentage this season (81.1%).

Nets vs Knicks prediction
The Nets are still missing Ben Simmons and Dariq Whitehead, while the Knicks are still missing OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle. The Nets are still mired in one of their worst slumps of the season as they've won just one of their last eight games, while the Knicks are starting to heat up again with five wins in their past seven outings. The Knicks were playing great basketball before they lost to the red-hot Nuggets in their last game, but I like their chances of bouncing back here against this Nets squad who have little to play for at this stage of the season.
