The Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons meet Friday in NBA action at the Little Caesars Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Celtics vs Pistons prediction.
Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have been on fire for a while now as they've won 18 of their last 20 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current seven-game win streak after sneaking past the Bucks in a 122-119 home win on Wednesday. Jayson Tatum led the team with 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Derrick White added 23 points with eight assists, Jaylen Brown scored 21 points while Payton Pritchard chipped in with 19 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench, while Kristaps Porzingis chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Celtics shot 47 percent from the field and 18 of 40 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 69 points in the first half to build a 21-point lead which proved to be just enough to hold off a late rally from the Bucks who cut the lead to just three points at one stage. The Celtics will meet the Bulls, Hawks, and Pelicans after this one.
Detroit Pistons
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in a real slump as they've lost eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight defeat after getting beaten by the Pacers in a 122-103 loss on Wednesday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 23 points and 10 assists, Jaden Ivey added 15 points while Jalen Duren chipped in with 11 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Pistons shot just 41 percent from the field and five of 23 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start, falling behind by 11 points going into halftime before they leaked 35 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 28 points.

Celtics vs Pistons prediction
The Boston Celtics could be shorthanded again with Kristaps Porzingis, Jaylen Brown and Al Horford all questionable, while the Pistons are still missing Isaiah Stewart, Ausar Thompson and Quentin Grimes. Both teams are banged up for this one, so you definitely want to check the lineups before tipoff, but the Celtics are still obvious favorites here given their recent form and their superior depth. The line is expectedly hefty for this one, but the Celtics are currently the hottest team in the league and they really shouldn't have too much trouble running up the score against this lowly Pistons squad who have nothing to play for at this stage of the season. Give me the Celtics to make this one look easy on the road.
