The Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks meet Sunday in NBA action at the American Airlines Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks prediction.
Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets have been in red-hot form as they've won 11 of their last 12 games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight win after routing the Spurs in a 117-106 win on Friday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 31 points, seven rebounds and five assists on 13 of 19 shooting, Jamal Murray added 15 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists while Michael Porter Jr and Justin Holiday each scored 13 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 55 percent from the field and 10 of 25 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start, outscoring the Spurs by 37-18 in the first quarter to open a 21-point lead which was more than enough to hold off a second-half run from the Spurs to made it somewhat interesting at the end.
Dallas Mavericks
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks were on a four-game winning streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the red-hot Thunder in a 126-119 road defeat on Thursday. Kyrie Irving led the team with 36 points with 12 assists, Tim Hardaway Jr added 23 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 19 points and 15 rebounds on eight of 11 shooting. As a team, the Mavericks shot 51 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Thunder in a tight contest until early in the third quarter where the Thunder went on a pivotal 16-4 run to pull away from them. PJ Washington had a night to forget as he shot just one of 11 from the field and zero of seven from the 3-point line to finish with just six points.

Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks prediction
The Nuggets are coming into this one with a full roster one again, while the Mavericks are going to be missing Brandon Williams and Josh Green with Dante Exum and Luka Doncic both listed as questionable at the moment. The Nuggets have been quietly flying under the radar a bit lately, but they are arguably the hottest team in the league right now and they are obvious favorites in this spot. The Mavericks are certainly capable of pulling off the upset, but with an injury cloud hanging over Doncic, I'm more comfortable going with the consistent Nuggets to take advantage and escape with the narrow win and cover.
