The Washington Wizards and Miami Heat meet Sunday in NBA action at the Kaseya Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Washington Wizards vs Miami Heat prediction.
Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards have been absolutely ice-cold lately, but they will be breathing a sigh of relief after putting an end to an ugly 16-game losing streak with a 112-100 win over the Hornets on Friday. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, Deni Avdija added 18 points with 14 rebounds while Richaun Holmes chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Wizards shot 49 percent from the field and six of 33 from the 3-point line as they looked to be heading for another disappointing loss, before they came to life with a 44-point explosion in the fourth quarter to pull off the unlikely comeback victory. The Wizards will face the Grizzlies and Rockets after this game.
Miami Heat
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in decent shape as they've won seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Thunder in a 107-100 road loss on Friday. Jaime Jacquez Jr led the team with 25 points on 10 of 13 shooting off the bench, Jimmy Butler added 20 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists while Terry Rozier chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they played great defense in the second quarter to take an early 14-point lead, but it didn't last long at all as they just couldn't recover after scoring just 16 points in the third quarter.

Washington Wizards vs Miami Heat prediction
The Wizards are still missing Isaiah Livers with Landry Shamet listed as questionable, while the Heat are still without Kevin Love, Tyler Herro and Josh Richardson. The Wizards have been one of the worst teams in the league all season and they were riding a 16-game streak before they snapped out of it with a much-needed win over the slumping Hornets on Friday. However, it's hard to get too excited about any team who beats the lowly Hornets these days, so I'd prefer a play on the more consistent Heat who need a win to get their season back on track. Sure, the Heat are still banged up with a couple key players missing, but they are still the safe play when compared to the inconsistent Wizards.
