As a team, the Hornets shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 33 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Magic in a closely contested first half, but they couldn't maintain that pace in the second half where the Magic started to pull away on the strength of their bench players.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been absolutely ice-cold as they are riding a terrible 16-game losing streak and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting beaten by the Magic in a 119-109 loss on Wednesday. Jordan Poole led the team with 26 points and five assists off the bench, Kyle Kuzma added 25 points while Deni Avdija chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and poured in 65 points in the first half to lead by as many as 21 points, only to go cold in the second half where they got outscored by 66-44 to suffer another disappointing loss at home where they are now 3-26 on the season. The Wizards will face the Heat and Grizzlies after this game.
