The Boston Celtics travel to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Here’s a Celtics vs Cavs Prediction.
Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have been in red-hot form and they will be eager to build on their season-high 11-game win streak after making light work of the Warriors in a 140-88 home win on Sunday. Jaylen Brown led the team with 29 points on 11 of 19 shooting in just 22 minutes of action, Jayson Tatum added 27 points with five assists while Payton Pritchard chipped in with 19 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Celtics shot 55 percent from the field and a sizzling 25 of 49 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early and never looked in danger after dominating the first half by an incredible 82-38. The Celtics will face the Nuggets after this game.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in decent shape as they've won three of their past five games but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting beaten by the Knicks in a 107-98 loss on Sunday. Sam Merrill drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 21 points off the bench, Darius Garland added 19 points with five assists, Jarrett Allen tallied 18 points with seven rebounds and six assists while Isaac Okoro chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 44 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the first quarter to erase an early 15-point deficit, only to let their hard work go to waste in the third quarter where they leaked 36 points to have them trailing the rest of the way.

Matchup/League Facts
- The Cavaliers rank 1st in the league for Q2 opponent points per game this season (26.5).
- The Cavaliers rank 2nd in the league for opponent points per game this season (109.5).
- The Celtics rank 1st in the league for point differential per game this season (+11.4).
- The Celtics rank 1st in the league for rebounds per game this season (47.1).
Celtics vs Cavs Prediction
The Celtics could be missing a couple of key players with Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis both listed as questionable, while the Cavaliers are still without Donovan Mitchell and they have Isaac Okoro and Caris LeVert both listed as questionable. The Celtics are clearly the hottest team in the league right now and they would be bigger favorites if there wasn't an injury cloud hanging over Brown and Porzingis, but I still prefer tham over the Cavaliers who were on a nice run before getting stopped by the shorthanded Knicks in their last outing. This is definitely a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but as it stands, I'm going with the Celtics to get the job done in this one.
