The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Scotiabank Arena to do battle with the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night. Here’s a Nets vs Raptors Prediction.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have been doing it tough lately as they've lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Celtics in a 136-86 road defeat on Wednesday. Trendon Watford led the team with 15 points on five of seven shooting off the bench while Mikal Bridges added 10 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring as the Nets just couldn't get anything going in their worst loss of the season. Dennis Schroder had a rough game of just four points on two of eight shooting while Cam Thomas shot just one of nine from the field for his five points.
Toronto Raptors
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have also been in a slump as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a three-game skid after falling just short to the Pacers in a 127-125 loss in their last game headed into the break. Scottie Barnes led the team with 29 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists on 12 of 22 shooting, RJ Barrett added 23 points with nine rebounds and three assists while Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. As a team, the Raptors shot 51 percent from the field and just six of 26 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 71 points in the first half, only to go cold when it mattered most, scoring just six points in the final 4:15 to allow the Pacers to run them down in a disappointing finish.

Matchup/League Facts
- The Raptors rank 29th in the league for free throw percentage this season (74.8%).
- The Raptors rank 3rd in the league for assists per game this season (29.2).
- The Nets rank 29th in the league for opponent free throw percentage this season (81.3%).
- The Nets rank 3rd in the league for opponent steals per game this season (6.6).
Nets vs Raptors Prediction
The Nets could really do with a win as they've lost five of six and they were outright humiliated by the Celtics in a 136-86 defeat in their last game, while the Raptors have been mired in their worst slump of the season and haven't looked any better since the trade moves they made. You couldn't back either team with any confidence these days, but because the Nets were embarrassed in their last game, I'm expecting them to come out swinging and earn the much-needed win over a slumping Raptors outfit.
