The New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets duke it out at the Toyota Center on Monday night. Here’s a Knicks vs Rockets Prediction.
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have cooled off from their nine-game win streak as they have now lost three of their past four games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting thrashed by the Pacers in a 125-111 loss on Saturday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 39 points on 14 of 25 shooting, Alec Burks added 22 points off the bench while Precious Achiuwa chipped in with 15 points, six rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Knicks shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 32 from the 3-point line as they showed plenty of fight to hang with the Pacers in a tightly contested first half, but they couldn't hold them off in the second half where they allowed 64 points as they struggled with players like OG Anunoby and Julius Randle both out injured.
Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in a real funk as they've lost eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a four-game losing streak after getting run over by the Hawks in a 122-113 road defeat on Saturday. Jalen Green led the team with a triple-double of 26 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists, Jeff Green added 19 points while Aaron Holiday chipped in with 18 points on seven of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Rockets shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 43 from the 3-point line as played great defense to hold the Hawks to just 19 points in the first quarter to take a 12-point lead, only to see their hard work go to waste in the second quarter where they got outscored by 38-18 to have them trailing the rest of the way.

- The Rockets rank 1st in the league for opponent free throw percentage this season (75.0%).

Knicks vs Rockets Prediction
The Knicks are still shorthanded with Julius Randle and OG Anunoby still out, while the Rockets missing Tari Eason, Cam Whitmore and Fred VanVleet. You couldn't back either team with too much confidence these days, especially because both teams are missing so many key players, but the Knicks will turn things around sooner rather than later and I think they get over the line behind a big game from Brunson in this spot.
