The Detroit Pistons invade the crypto.com Arena to battle the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a Pistons vs Clippers Prediction.
Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons have been in decent form as they've split their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after outlasting the Trail Blazers in a 128-122 overtime road win on Thursday. Jalen Duren led the team with 27 points, 22 rebounds and three blocks, Jaden Ivey drained seven 3-pointers to finish with 26 points while Cade Cunningham chipped in with 23 points and five assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 48 percent from the field and 16 of 27 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game and had to claw their way back from a 23-point deficit, before they held the Trail Blazers to just two points in overtime to come away with the impressive comeback win on the road.
Los Angeles Clippers
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in great form as they've won nine of their last 11 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after coming up short to the Pelicans in a 117-106 loss on Wednesday. James Harden led the team with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Norman Powell added 18 points off the bench while Kawhi Leonard chipped in with 15 points, six rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line, but they struggled to make their shots early and were always playing from behind after getting outscored by 36-19 in the first quarter. Paul George had a night to forget as he shot just three of 15 from the field and zero of eight from the 3-point line to finish with just seven points. The clippers will face the Timberwolves and Warriors after this game.

Pistons vs Clippers Prediction
The Pistons could be shorthanded again with Troy Brown and Shake Milton both listed as questionable, while the Clippers don't have a single player listed on the injury report. The Pistons have been playing much better lately and they are coming into this one fresh off an impressive comeback win over the Trail Blazers where they erased a 23-point deficit to win in overtime, but I don't think they will be able to replicate that effort against the Clippers who were on fire before their surprising loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday. The line is hefty here, so while I'm sure the Clippers win easily, I'm backing the Pistons to hang around long enough to get the backdoor cover here.
