The Indiana Pacers and the Charlotte Hornets do battle at the Spectrum Center on Sunday night. Here’s a Pacers vs Hornets Prediction.
Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers have been in poor form as they've lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game slide after getting routed by the Kings in a 133-122 loss on Friday. Bennedict Mathurin led the team with 31 points on 10 of 14 shooting, Pascal Siakam added 22 points on 10 of 15 shooting while Buddy Hield chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 54 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 39 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but they couldn't maintain that pace and never really challenged after falling behind by 18 points late in the third quarter. The Pacers will take on the Rockets after this game.
Charlotte Hornets
Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in a real slump as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a six-game slide after getting routed by the Thunder in a 126-106 road defeat on Friday. Brandon Miller led the team with 28 points on 11 of 19 shooting, Bryce McGowens added 15 points while Nick Smith Jr chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 44 percent from the field and 14 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled from the tipoff and were always fighting a losing battle after getting outscored by a horrible 63-42 in the first half. Miles Bridges had a night to forget as he scored just nine points on three of 16 shooting.

Pacers vs Hornets Prediction
The Pacers could be shorthanded here with Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Jalen Smith and Bennedict Mathurin all listed as questionable, but they've still opened as heavy road favorites against this slumping Hornets team who just can't buy a win these days. This is certainly a game I'd rather steer clear of, given the injury cloud hanging over the Pacers, but the Hornets have been flat-out terrible for a while now and I'm not going near them until they win a few games.
