The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in fine form as they've won five of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the Wizards in a 118-107 road win last night. Anthony Edwards led the team with 38 points and five assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 27 points while Rudy Gobert chipped in with 19 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 42 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and looked to be in a bit of trouble when they trailed going into halftime, but they dominated the third quarter by 33-19 to reclaim the lead for good in what turned out to be a comfortable win.

Brooklyn Nets

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a real slump as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling short to the Knicks in a 108-103 loss on Tuesday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 36 points on 14 of 26 shooting, Cam Johnson added 19 points while Cam Thomas chipped in with 14 points off the bench but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in full control when they took a 10-point lead in the third quarter, but they couldn't put the Knicks away and it cost them in the fourth quarter where they scored just 18 points to suffer yet another disappointing defeat.
