The Orlando Magic and the Washington Wizards do battle at the Capital One Arena on Tuesday night. Here’s a Magic vs Wizards Prediction.
Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last nine games, but they will be feeling much better after arresting a four-game skid with a 117-110 road win over the Pacers on Saturday. Paolo Banchero led the team with 34 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Franz Wagner added 24 points while Gary Harris chipped in with 15 points on five of nine shooting. As a team, the Magic shot 53 percent from the field and six of 18 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they squandered a 15-point lead, but they played great defense to hold the Pacers to just 18 points in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win.

Washington Wizards
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a slump of their own as they’ve lost nine of their last 11 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Warriors in a 129-118 road defeat on Friday. Before that, they managed to edge the Trail Blazers. Jordan Poole led the team with 25 points, Corey Kispert added 18 points off the bench while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they poured in 36 points in the second quarter to stay within striking distance, until they fell victim to a 3-point barrage from the Warriors’ Stephen Curry to trail by 23 points.

- The Magic rank 1st in the league for opponent rebounds per game this season (40.7).
- The Magic rank 1st in the league for opponent offensive rebounds per game this season (9.3).
Magic vs Wizards Prediction
The Magic could be shorthanded again with Jalen Suggs and Joe Ingles both listed as questionable, while the Wizards are expecting to have Kyle Kuzma bac in the lineup which would be a real boost for their offense. The Magic haven’t been at their best lately, but they certainly looked good in their win over the Pacers and they are still in much better form compared to the slumping Wizards. The line is reasonable for this one, so I’ll back the Magic to escape with the win and cover as the road team.
