The San Antonio Spurs travel to the United Center to do battle with the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. Here’s a Spurs vs Bulls Prediction.
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have been in horrible form as they've lost 20 of their last 21 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting run over by the Bucks in a 132-119 road loss on Tuesday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 28 points and 12 rebounds on nine of 13 shooting, Zach Collins added 22 points with eight rebounds and two blocks while Devin Vassell chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line, but they were always fighting a losing battle in this one after allowing the Bucks to open the game on a 27-9 run and finish with 44 points in the first quarter.
San Antonio Spurs Player Facts
- Devin Vassell ranks 29th amongst qualified players for three-pointers made Per Game (2.6) this season.
- Jeremy Sochan ranks T17th amongst qualified Forwards for assists per game (4.2) this season.
Chicago Bulls
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in pretty good shape lately as they've won seven of their past 10 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Lakers in a surprising 124-108 home win last night. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 27 points, seven rebounds and nine assists on 12 of 16 shooting, Coby White added 17 points with seven rebounds and five assists while Patrick Williams and Alex Caruso scored 15 points each. As a team, the Bulls shot 54 percent from the field and 18 of 34 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter to jump out in front right away and they just kept build on it in the second half where they poured in 63 points to make it a blowout win at home.
Matchup/League Facts
- The Bulls rank 30th in the league for H1 points per game this season (51.1).
- The Bulls ranks 30th in the league for pace this season (95.7).
- The Spurs rank 30th in the league for opponent steals per game this season (9.2).
- The Spurs rank 1st in the league for opponent blocks per game this season (3.9).
Spurs vs Bulls Prediction
The Spurs should have Victor Wembanyama back in the lineup for this one, while the Bulls are still missing Zach LaVine and Torrey Craig. The Spurs have been one of the coldest teams in the league for while now and they never had a chance against the Bucks in their last outing, while the Bulls have quietly been one of the form teams in the league and they will be full of confidence from last night's big win over the Lakers. The Bulls are playing their second game of a back to back set, but they're at home again, so I like their chances to get the win and cover at the short line in this spot.
