The Atlanta Hawks and the Washington Wizards duke it out at the Capital One Arena on Saturday night. Here’s a Hawks vs Wizards Prediction.
Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have been in a bit of a rut as they've lost four of their last six games overall, but they will be feeling better after snapping a three-game slide with a 147-145 overtime win over the Nets on Wednesday. Trae Young led the way with 43 points and nine assists, De'Andre Hunter added 25 points with 11 rebounds while Dejounte Murray tallied 20 points with six rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 44 percent from the field and 18 of 49 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 15-point lead, but they turned to Young who scored 14 of his 43 points in overtime to carry the team over the line in a close finish.

Washington Wizards
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards are really struggling as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to an eight-game slide after getting beaten by the Bucks in a 131-128 road loss last night. Jordan Poole led the team with 26 points and seven assists, Tyus Jones and Kyle Kuzma scored 22 points each while Corey Kispert chipped in with 20 points off the bench. As a team, the Wizards shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the 3-point line as they took it to the Bucks and kept the game within single digits the entire way, but with the scores tied late in hte fourth quarter, it was the Bucks who used a pivotal 9-2 run to pull away and pile on the misery for the Wizards.

- Tyus Jones ranks 3rd amongst qualified players for assist:turnover ratio (7.5) this season.
- Daniel Gafford ranks 3rd in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for Blocks Per Game (1.8) this season.
Matchup/League Facts
- The Wizards rank 30th in the league for opponent assists per game this season (29.2).
- The Wizards rank 30th in the league for rebounds per game this season (39.1).
- The Hawks rank 30th in the league for Q1 opponent points per game this season (32.5).
- The Hawks rank 2nd in the league for points per game this season (124.1).
Peter's Pick
The Hawks were really struggling before their thrilling overtime win over the Nets and it was especially encouraging to see Young shake off his shooting slump. Meanwhile, the Wizards have been struggling since opening night, but they were more than competitive against the Bucks last night which makes things interesting. Still, the Hawks are clearly the better team, playing the better basketball with the advantage of extra rest here. Give me the Hawks to build on their win on Wednesday with a more comfortable win here.
