The New York Knicks are starting to heat up now as they've won five of their last six games overall and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after beating the Wizards in a 120-99 road win last night. Jalen Brunson led the team with 32 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Immanuel Quickley added 27 points off the bench while Julius Randle chipped in with 22 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 49 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with 35 points in the first quarter, but they couldn't really put the pesky Wizards away until the fourth quarter where they held the Wizards to just 15 points to get the blowout win.

Charlotte Hornets

Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have been in poor form with eight losses in their first 11 games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game slide after getting thrashed by the Bucks in a 130-99 loss last night. LaMelo Ball led the team with 37 points and five assists on 12 of 28 shooting, Miles Bridges added 17 points off the bench while Mark Williams chipped in with 11 points and 16 rebounds. As a team, the Hornets shot just 40 percent from the field and six of 26 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 37 points in the first quarter to take an early 13-point lead, but it was all one-way traffic from that point as they had no answer for the Bucks once they clicked into gear. Gordon Hayward had a rough night as he shot just one of nine for his two points.
