The Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors duke it out at the Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in decent form as they've won two of their first three games of the season and they will be aiming to stay hot after beating the Heat by 122-114 win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 33 points on 12 of 21 shooting, Damian Lillard added 25 points on seven of 14 shooting while Bobby Portis chipped in with 16 points on seven of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Bucks shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 37 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with 34 points in the second quarter, before they went on another run in the third quarter to push the lead out to 25 points.
Toronto Raptors
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting beaten by the lowly Trail Blazers in a 99-91 loss on Monday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 20 points, SCottie Barnes added 20 points with 12 rebounds while Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Raptors shot just 40 percent from the field and four of 29 from the 3-point line as they started well and took the lead into halftime, only to go ice-cold in the second half where they managed just 41 points to allow the Trail Blazers to slip away in the end. Gary Trent Jr had a night to forget as he scored just three points on one of seven shooting in 19 minutes of action.
Peter's Pick
The Bucks are coming into this one at full strength, while the Raptors will likely be without Precious Achiuwa who is listed as doubtful for this one. The Bucks are still working through some growing pains, but they already look good in their first three games and they would've taken plenty of confidence from their win over the Heat on Monday. The Raptors are coming into this one fresh off a third straight loss and what is worse is that they just lost to the rebuilding Trail Blazers. The Bucks deservedly open as favorites here and I think the line is just short enough to warrant a play on the Bucks to win and cover.
