The Dallas Mavericks and the Memphis Grizzlies duke it out at the FedExForum on Monday late night in NBA action.
Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
The Dallas Mavericks will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Nets in a 125-120 home win on Friday. Luka Doncic led the way with 49 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Tim Hardaway Jr. added 19 points off the bench while Kyrie Irving chipped in with 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they traded with the Nets in a tight contest, all the way until the fourth quarter where they poured in 37 points to escape with the win thanks to some late-game heroics from Luka Doncic.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have endured a rough start to the season as they are now hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting beaten by the lowly Wizards in a 113-106 road loss on Saturday. Desmond Bane led the way with 26 points and five assists, Jaren Jackson Jr and Ziaire Williams scored 16 points each while David Roddy chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 42 percent from the field and 19 of 47 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense from the start, falling behind by as many as 25 points before they made a run that was all too late.
Peter's Pick
The Mavericks are starting to heat up now with a couple of wins on the trot and it's no surprise that it's been Luka Doncic leading the way on offense. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are off to a horrid start and they've been doing it tough with two of their best players on the sidelines. I might be tempted to take the Grizzlies if the line wasn't so short, but as it stands, I'd prefer a play on the Mavericks to get the win and cover in this spot.
