The Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the Washington Wizards at the Capital One Arena on Saturday night.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
The Memphis Grizzlies are still searching for their first win of the season after coming up just short to the Nuggets in a 108-104 loss last night. Jaren Jackson Jr led the team with 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, Marcus Smart added 20 points with five assists and five steals while Derrick Rose chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 43 percecnt from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line, but they suffered another slow start and were always playing from behind after managing just 18 points in the first quarter.
Washington Wizards Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards haven't seen the court since they lost to the Pacers by 143-120 back on Wednesday. Kyle Kuzma led the team with 25 points on nine of 18 shooting, Jordan Poole added 18 points with five assists while Tre Jones and Danilo Gallinari scored 16 points apiece. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and nine of 24 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 39 points in an explosive first quarter, but their isssues on defense came to the fore once again with the Pacers dominating the rest of the way.
Peter's Pick
The Grizzlies will be shorthanded again as they are still without Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Ja Morant, while the Wizards are missing Landry Shamet for this one. The Grizzlies showed plenty of fight to take it to the champion Nuggets last night despite missing so many key players, but it's always tough playing on zero days' rest. However, it's early in the season and the Wizards have already leaked 143 points to the Pacers. Give me the Grizzlies to bounce back with a win and cover in this one.
