The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in NBA action. Let's give out a pick on this game.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Bulls in a 124-104 road win on Wednesday night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 31 points and 10 assists, Jalen WIlliams and Josh Giddey each scored 16 points while Isaiah Joe chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 54 percent from the field and 19 of 39 from the 3-point line and they were always in control after holding the Bulls to just 20 points in the second quarter. Chet Holmgren looked solid as he made a couple of 3-pointers to finish with 11 points in 25 minutes of action.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be gunning for a second straight win after outlasting the Nets in a 114-113 road win on Wednesday. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 27 points and six assists on 11 of 21 shooting, Max Strus added 27 points and 12 rebounds, Isaac Okoro added 18 points while Darius Garland chipped in with 15 points and five assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 46 percent from the field and 17 of 43 from the 3-point line as they traded with the Nets in a close contest, until 12.1 seconds left in the game where Mitchell drained the deep 3-pointer to snatch the win in the end.
Peter's Pick
The Cavaliers are still missing Jarrett Allen and they have Dean Wade and Darius Garland both listed as questionable, while the Thunder are still missing Kenrich Williams. Both teams looked good in their respective season openers, but the Thunder should be good enough to take advantage of the Cavaliers while they're shorthanded. Perhaps the Cavaliers win this matchup with a full squad, but I think the Thunder are going to be one of the surprise teams at this early stage of the season.
Peter’s Pick Oklahoma City +3.5
