The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors meet Tuesday in NBA action at the Chase Center. Let’s preview this game and give out a pick and prediction.
Phoenix Suns Betting Preview
The Phoenix Suns won 45 games last season and now begin the Frank Vogel coaching era. The Suns were quite aggressive this offseason to add firepower to Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, as they traded for Bradley Beal to create a true Big Three. The Suns now have oodles of scoring in their starting lineup, but they did lose Chris Paul, Cam Payne, Torrey Craig and recently traded away Deandre Ayton. In a move that was somewhat surprising, the Suns got Grayson Allen from the Bucks. The Suns lack size and depth, but their starting lineup is as talented as any in the league, and it gives them a real shot to win their first title in franchise history.
Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
The Golden State Warriors are coming off a second round exit and enter the 10th season under coach Steve Kerr. The Warriors are still rolling with their championship trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, which has produced four titles over the years. The rest of the team was flipped upside down. Jordan Poole is in Washington, Andre Iguodala retired and Donte DiVincenzo left for the Knicks. The Warriors made a splash by trading for Chris Paul, the point guard who was the Warrior's rival in many previous playoff battles. Cory Joseph provides more guard depth and Dario Saric is shooting off the bench. The Warriors will always be a threat with given their championship experience, but it will be interesting to see how the role players come together, especially how they work CP3 into a unique situation.
Randy’s Pick
The Phoenix Suns and the free point is appealing because they're a loaded starting lineup with unreal potential, and they're not going to be dogs often if they play to the level they're capable of. However, the Suns have a lot of new moving pieces, and it may take time to adjust. Also, there's depth issues. Outside of CP3, the Golden State Warriors are pretty much the same team they were a season ago, and that chemistry cant go unnoticed. Also, the Warriors are usually money on their home court, and that includes covers in 14 of their last 19 home games. Give me the Warriors in this near pick 'em spot.
