Germany Betting Preview
Germany has been impressive in this tournament and they still haven’t suffered a loss yet. In the last game against the United States, Germany’s offense scored 113 points and that was enough for the two point victory. They almost blew the game in the 4th quarter, but they were able to hold onto the victory. Germany’s defense obviously wasn’t great, but they did shoot 58.5 percent from the field and 48 percent from behind the three point line. Germany used a balanced attack and had six different players that finished with at least 10 points. Andreas Obst had a strong game finishing with 24 points and six rebounds. Dennis Schroder also finished with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Serbia Betting Preview
On the other side of this matchup is Serbia who have actually lost a game so far during the FIBA Tournament. Against Italy, Serbia scored 76 points, but the defense gave up 78 points. In the last game against Canada, Serbia scored 95 points and that was enough for the nine point victory. At the end of the first quarter they were up 23-15 and they never looked back on the way to the victory. Serbia shot 62.1 percent from the field and 45 percent from behind the three point line. They hit 9 of his 20 shots from deep. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a strong game finishing with 23 points, four rebounds, and three assists. There were five different players that finished with at least 10 points.
Shane’s Free Pick
This really feels like a let down spot for Germany. After Germany found so much success against the United States, that really felt like their championship. Serbia is going to get close to that 62 percent from the field again here, and that is going to be the difference here. Germany’s defense is going to really struggle here, and that will be the difference as Serbia will get the job done. Back Serbia against the spread.
Shane’s Pick Serbia +1
