Germany Betting Preview
Germany comes into this game with a perfect 5-0 record so far in the tournament. In each of the last three games Germany has scored at least 100 points and the defense has given up 75 points or less. In the last game against Slovenia, Germany was able to secure a 100-71 victory. At the end of the first quarter, Germany was down 25-11 but they fought back and they really dominated the rest of the game. Germany had 54.7 percent of the possession and 48.4 percent from behind the three point line. Dennis Schroder has had a nice tournament and in the last game he finished 24 points, 10 assists, and two rebounds. There were five different players that finished with at least 10 points.
Latvia Betting Preview
Latvia has been quite the Cinderella story and they have only lost one game so far in the tournament. That loss came against Canada and the defense really struggled in that game giving up 75 points. Since that point though they have beaten Spain and Brazil. In that game against Brazil the offense was strong scoring 104 points and that was enough to secure the 20 point victory. Andrejs Grazulls had a strong game finishing with 24 points, five assists, and three rebounds. There were four different players that finished with at least 10 points. The one game the defense struggled giving up the 104 points and in this game it’s going to be important that the defense is strong here.
Shane’s Free Pick
Latvia has had quite the run, but it’s going to end in this game. Germany’s offense has been really strong heading into this game and they are going to have no issue running up the score again here. Latvia in the last game against Canada scored only 75 points and they aren’t going to have enough offense in this game to keep up. This game is going to be a blowout victory for Germany. Back Germany against the spread.
Shane’s Pick Germany -9
