The Sacramento Kings will be hoping to stave off elimination against the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 at the Chase Center on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings kicked off the series with a bang as they stormed out to a 2-0 lead, but they are now playing for their lives after coming up short against the Warriors in a 123-116 loss in Game 5 on Wednesday. De'Aaron Fox led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, Malik Monk and Domantas Sabonis each scored 21 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and 10 of 34 from the 3-point line which was enough to hang with the Warriors, until the fourth quarter where the Warriors closed the final 4:45 on a 14-8 run to slip away in a dramatic finish.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are now just one win away from advancing to the second round after taking care of business on Wednesday. Stephen Curry led the team with 31 points and eight assists on 12 of 25 shooting, Klay Thompson added 25 points, Draymond Green tallied 21 points with seven assists and four steals off the bench while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 52 percent from the field and 11 of 38 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 39 points to take the narrow lead, before they turned to Curry, Wiggins and Green who all made key plays down the stretch.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 35-17-1 ATS in their last 53 road games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following a loss. The Warriors are 40-17-1 ATS in their last 58 home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven Conference Quarterfinals games and 37-13-1 ATS in their last 51 home games against a team with a winning road record.
Head to head, the Kings are 16-7 ATS in the last 23 meetings overall and the Kings are 12-3 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Golden State.
The Kings were looking really good after winning the first two games of the series, but it's been a real struggle since Game 2 and now they have to win on the road to keep their season alive. The Warriors have looked better with each passing game and now they are back at the Chase Center where they've been so tough to beat all season. The Kings are 12-3 ATS in hte last 15 meetings in Golden State and I know that they will fight to the end, but the Warriors go to another level at home and I think they will run away with it if they get off to a quick start.
