The Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors collide in Game 4 at the Chase Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Sacramento Kings will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the shorthanded Warriors in a 114-97 loss in Game 3 on Thursday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, Harrison Barnes added 17 points while Domantas Sabonis tallied 15 points with 16 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Kings shot 38 percent from the field and 11 of 47 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and were always trailing after scoring just 20 points in the first quarter. The Kings got next to nothing from their bench and Malik Monk had himself a night to forget as he scored just four points on one of nine shooting.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors needed to respond after dropping the first two games of the series and they did that with a dominant win on Thursday. Stephen Curry led the way with 36 points on 12 of 25 shooting, Andrew Wiggins added 20 points with seven rebounds and three assists while Jordan Poole chipped in with 16 points, four assists and three steals. As a team, the Warriors shot just 40 percent from the field and 16 of 50 from the 3-point line as they jumped out to a quick start and just kept plugging away till they led by as many as 23 points. However, this win was more about their defense as they set the tone early and did a great job of keeping the entire Kings’ bench in check.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a loss. The Warriors are 40-16-1 ATS in their last 57 home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five Conference Quarterfinals games.
Head to head, the under is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Kings are 15-6 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall and the Kings are 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Golden State.
The Kings must have been brimming with confidence after the first two games, but it didn’t look like the same two teams when the series shifted to the Chase Center on Thursday. The Warriors were good enough to get the win without Draymond Green who served his suspension and they will be even better with him returning to the lineup. The Warriors are 40-16-1 ATS in their last 57 home games and I think that trend continues here as the Warriors square up the series.
