The Indiana Pacers play host to the New York Knicks at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The New York Knicks have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be eager to build on their four-game win streak after taking down the Wizards in a 118-109 win on Sunday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 27 points and eight assists, Quentin Grimes added 27 points and five assists, Immanuel Quickley scored 22 points while Obi Toppin chipped in with 21 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 52 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled in the first half and trailed by 10 points, before they dominated the third quarter by 33-18 to lead by as many as 20 points in yet another impressive comeback victory.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting beaten by the Cavaliers in a 115-105 road loss on Sunday. Bennedict Mathurin led the team with 19 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, TJ McConnell added 16 points and five assists off the bench while Jordan Nwora chipped in with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 43 percent from the field and nine of 24 from the 3-point line as they really took it to the Cavaliers and hung in the contest, until the fourth quarter where they scored just 18 points to allow the Cavaliers off the hook in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 35-16 ATS in their last 51 road games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record. The Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest.
Head to head, the under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings overall and the Knicks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Knicks are keeping an eye on RJ Barrett who is questionable with an illness, while the Pacers have ruled out Tyrese Haliburton and they have Myles Turner listed as questionable. The Knicks come into this meeting as the team in better form and I think they are good enough to earn their fifth straight win against a depleted Pacers team with little to play for.
