The Washington Wizards play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Capital One Arena on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the 76ers in a 117-104 win on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 33 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, Brook Lopez added 21 points on nine of 13 shooting while Khris Middleton chipped in with 19 points and nine assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 57 percent from the field and 10 of 28 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 41 points in the first quarter to take a 16-point lead into halftime which was never really in threat in the second half as the Bucks cruised to victory.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting beaten by the Knicks in a 118-109 road loss on Sunday. Corey Kispert led the team with 29 points on 10 of 19 shooting, Johnny Davis added 16 points while Taj Gibson chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Wizards shot 49 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they took an eight-point lead into halftime, before they went cold and managed just 18 points in the third quarter to allow the Knicks to run them down with ease.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record. The Wizards are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Washington and the Bucks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Bucks have ruled out Grayson Allen and Khris Middleton, while the Wizards will again be missing Kristaps Porzingis, Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma. The Bucks have all the momentum and they looked dominant in their win over the 76ers, so I think they roll in this one despite the injuries.
