The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Houston Rockets at the Barclays Center on Wednesday night.
The Houston Rockets have been in a slump as they’ve lost nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a six-game slide after getting thrashed by the Knicks in a 137-115 road loss on Monday. Kevin Porter Jr. led the team with 26 points, Jalen Green added 19 points while Kenyon Martin Jr. chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Knicks in the first half, only to get blown away in the second half by 71-54 to add to their losing streak.
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be looking to bounce back after getting routed by the Magic in a 119-106 road loss on Sunday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 44 points on 13 of 22 shooting, Cam Thomas added 18 points off the bench while Cam Johnson chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Nets shot just 40 percent from the field and eight of 35 from the 3-point line, but they leaked 36 points in the second quarter to fall behind and they were always fighting an uphill battle after trailing by 20 points in the third quarter.
