The Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers collide at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the Pistons in a 126-117 road win on Monday. Khris Middleton led the team with 34 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Brook Lopez added 24 points on eight of 15 shooting, Jevon Carter added 22 points while Bobby Portis chipped in with 21 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Bucks shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 45 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 31 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but they could never really put the Pistons away until the fourth quarter where they poured in 32 points to pull away.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting routed by the Mavericks in a 127-104 loss last night. Bennedict Mathurin led the team with 26 points on nine of 19 shooting, Andrew Nembhard added 17 points with five assists while TJ McConnell chipped in with 15 points and seven assists off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot just 41 percent from the field and eight of 28 from the 3-point line as they scored just 20 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 12 points going into halftime, before they allowed 40 points in the third quarter to see the deficit balloon to 31 points at one stage.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games, 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall, the Bucks are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Indiana and the Bucks are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.
The Bucks could be shorthanded here as Joe Ingles is currently listed as questionable, while the Pacers are keeping an eye on Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner again. The Bucks have been on fire lately and they should have their two best players back on the court after they were rested on Monday, so I’ll stick with the Bucks who are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.
