The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Chicago Bulls at the crypto.com Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Chicago Bulls have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Trail Blazers in a 124-96 road win on Friday. Zach LaVine led the team with 33 points and eight assists, Nikola Vucevic added 23 points with 15 rebounds and four assists while Coby White chipped in with 19 points and nine assists off the bench. As a team, the Bulls shot 57 percent from the field and 17 of 28 from the 3-point line as they dominated the second quarter by 35-19 to take control of the contest, before they ran away with 63 points in the second half to make it a blowout.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the Thunder in a 116-111 win on Friday. Anthony Davis led the team with 37 points and 15 rebounds on 15 of 21 shooting, Dennis Schroder added 21 points, Lonnie Walker added 20 points off the bench while Austin Reaves chipped in with 11 points and nine assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they surrendered a 17-point lead after scoring 41 points in the first quarter, before they clamped down defensively and held the Thunder to just four points in the final 2:56 to escape with the narrow win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four road games, 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall and the Bulls are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Los Angeles.
The Bulls are again missing Javonte Green and Alex Caruso, while the Lakers are keeping an eye on D’Angelo Russell who is questionable for this one. The Bulls have been on a roll lately and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from their big win over the Trail Blazers on Friday, but the Lakers have also been playing some good basketball lately, so we should be in for a good one. The Bulls hold the edge in terms of betting trends, but the Lakers have been the more impressive team lately and I think they can keep it rolling with another win at home.
