The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers once again at the Barclays Center on Thursday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after sneaking past the Nets in a 115-109 road win on Tuesday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 31 points on 10 of 22 shooting, Caris LeVert added 18 points off the bench while Darius Garland and Evan Mobley scored 17 points apiece. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 29 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 38 points in the second quarter to take control of the contest, before they poured in another 33 points in the third quarter to push the lead out to 24 points which was enough to hold off a late rally.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a real funk as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting beaten by the Cavaliers on Tuesday. Dayron Sharpe led the team with 20 points and 11 rebounds on eight of 12 shooting, Spencer Dinwiddie added 19 points with 11 assists while Mikal Bridges chipped in with 18 points on nine of 21 shooting. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they poured in 30 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they allowed a total of 71 points in the second and third quarters combined to fall behind by 24 points. The Nets did make a run of it in the fourth quarter, but they just left themselves too much ground to make up in this one.

Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a home record above .600. The Nets are 22-45-2 ATS in their last 69 home games, 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the Cavaliers are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Brooklyn.

The Cavaliers are coming into this game clearly as the team in better form and they will be full of confidence having already beaten the Nest on Tuesday. It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row in their own building, but the Nets have been struggling lately and they could’ve easily lost on Tuesday by a much bigger margin if not for a late run in the fourth quarter. I’m sticking with the more consistent Cavaliers to continue their strong form with another win here.
