The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Chicago Bulls duke it out at the United Center on Friday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost three of their last four games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling painfully short to the Celtics in a 104-102 loss on Wednesday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 28 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while Kyle Anderson, Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid each scored 15 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Celtics in a close contest, only to end up painfully short as they committed a pair of technical fouls in the final seconds to allow the Celtics to slip away in the end.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in decent form as they’ve split their last six games and they will be looking to bounce back here after coming up short to the red-hot Kings in a 117-114 loss on Wednesday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 33 points on 10 of 20 shooting, Zach LaVine added 25 points with six assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 20 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Bulls shot just 39 percent from the field and 16 of 42 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Kings in a real arm wrestle of a match, before the Kings’ De’Aaron Fox drained the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to snatch the game from them in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Bulls are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall and the Timberwolves are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Chicago.

The Timberwolves are shorthanded again as Jaylen Nowell is still out while Austin Rivers, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert are all questionable, while the Bulls are still missing Alex Caruso and Javonte Green. The Timberwolves have been playing below their best lately, but they were more than competitive in their narrow loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, while the Bulls were building a bit of momentum before they got stung by the Kings in a heartbreaking loss in their last outing. You couldn’t back either side with much confidence these days, but the Timberwolves are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and I think they can pull off the minor upset here.
