The Philadelphia 76ers pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in great form as they’ve won six of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a sixth straight victory after routing the Wizards in a 112-93 win on Sunday. Joel Embiid led the team with 34 points, eight rebounds and four assists, James Harden added 18 points with 14 assists while Tobias Harris chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 51 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they held the Wizards to just 19 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they outscored them by 57-43 in the second half to make it a complete blowout.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last six games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Hornets in a 120-104 road win last night. Evan Mobley led the team with 26 points on 10 of 15 shooting, Caris LeVert added 22 points with seven assists and four steals, Cedi Osman scored 24 points off the bench while Darius Garland chipped in with 19 points and seven assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 30 from the 3-point line as they took advantage of the shorthanded Hornets from the start, pouring in 98 points in the first three quarters to lead by as many as 26 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on two days rest and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games against a team above .600. The Cavaliers are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 home games against a team with a winning road record.
Head to head, the under is 21-7 in the last 28 meetings in Cleveland, the 76ers are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Cleveland and the 76ers are 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The 76ers are shorthanded here as Jalen McDaniels is out, while the Cavaliers are keeping eyes on Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen who are both listed as day to day here. You can make an argument for either side here as both teams are in winning form, but the 76ers have the advantage of extra rest as they haven’t played since Sunday, while the Cavaliers are playing their second game of a back to back set, so I’ll stick with the 76ers to take care of business on the road in this spot.
