The Utah Jazz travel to the Amway Center to do battle with the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

The Utah Jazz have been in poor form as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a four-game skid after getting stopped by the Mavericks in a 120-116 road loss on Tuesday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 33 points on 12 of 20 shooting, Talen Horton-Tucker added 21 points with six rebounds and four assists while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 44 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Mavericks in a tight contest, until the Mavericks went on a pivotal 8-0 run late in the fourth quarter to slip away in the end.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be looking to get back in the winner’s circle after getting routed by the Bucks in a 134-123 loss on Tuesday. Cole Anthony led the team in scoring with 23 points off the bench, Franz Wagner added 21 points with six assists while Paolo Banchero chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Magic shot 50 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they got off to another slow start and fell behind by double-digits in the first quarter and they never found a way to slow down the Bucks which meant they trailed the rest of the way.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on one days rest and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a loss. The Magic are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games, 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games following a loss and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Jazz are 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Orlando and the Jazz are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.

The Jazz are still missing Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson is questionable, while the Magic are still without Wendell Carter Jr. You really couldn’t back either team with much confidence these days, but the betting trends do favor the visitors in this spot with the Magic being 0-5 ATS in their last five home games and the Jazz being 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Orlando. I can see why the Magic have opened as slight favorites, but I think there is some value with the Jazz as underdogs in this spot if Markkanen can have another big game.
