The Philadelphia 76ers and the Minnesota Timberwolves collide at the Target Center on Tuesday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Pacers in a 147-143 road win last night. Joel Embiid led the team with 42 points on 11 of 16 shooting, Tyrese Maxey added 24 points on eight of 13 shooting while Jalen McDaniels chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 58 percent from the field and 16 of 34 from the 3-point line as they poured in 78 points in the first half to match a hot start from the Pacers, before they finally played some defense to slow down the Pacers in the fourth quarter and escape with the narrow win.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been on a nice run as they’ve reeled off three straight wins and they will be eager to build some momentum after sneaking past the Kings in a thrilling 138-134 road win on Saturday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 27 points and eight assists, Mike Conley added 24 points while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 19 points on eight of 11 shooting. As a team, the Timberwolves shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 20 of 39 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Kings from the start, exploding for 74 points in the first half, before they closed the final 1:51 on a 7-4 run to escape with the narrow win.
