The Atlanta Hawks travel to the Miami-Dade Arena to do battle with the Miami Heat on Saturday night.
The Atlanta Hawks have been in good form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Trail Blazers in a 129-111 home win last night. Dejounte Murray led the team with 41 points and six assists on 17 of 22 shooting, Trae Young added 23 points with 11 assists while DeAndre Hunter chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 57 percent from the field and 12 of 26 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Trail Blazers and held them to just 19 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they poured in 38 points in the third quarter to push the lead out to 23 points.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after beating the Knicks in a 122-120 loss last night. Jimmy Butler led the team with 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Tyler Herro added 29 points with eight rebounds and six assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Heat shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 25 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 71 points in the first half to lead by 17 points, only to escape on a game-winning 3-pointer from Julius Randle with just 1.1 seconds left on the clock.
Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 17-35 ATS in their last 52 road games against a team with a winning home record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Heat are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games playing on zero days rest, 9-23-1 ATS in their last 33 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings overall and the Hawks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Miami.
The Hawks don’t have a single player listed on the injury report, while the Heat will again be missing Kyle Lowry and Omer Yurtseven. The Hawks come into this meeting as the team in better form and they will be full of confidence after making light work of the Trail Blazers last night, while the Heat are mired in their worst slump of the season and they will be kicking themselves after suffering a heartbreaking loss to the Knicks last night. The Hawks are not the most consistent team, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they just got blown out here, but they are the more reliable team at the moment and I think they can get the win as underdogs in this spot.
