The Phoenix Suns travel to the United Center to battle the Chicago Bulls on Friday night.
The Phoenix Suns have been in strong form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after routing the Hornets in a 105-91 road win on Wednesday. Devin Booker led the way with 37 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Kevin Durant added 23 points on 10 of 15 shooting in his debut while DeAndre Ayton chipped in with 16 points, 16 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Suns shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 25 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start to take a 16-point lead into halftime, before they held the Hornets to just 18 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been slowly improving as they’ve won three of their past four games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after sneaking past the Pistons in a 117-115 road win on Wednesday. Zach LaVine led the team with 41 points on 14 of 20 shooting, DeMar DeRozan added 21 points with seven rebounds and seven assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Bulls shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 27 from the 3-point line as they dominated the game to lead by as many as 21 points, but they didn’t put the Pistons away and had to fight till the end to escape with the narrow victory.
Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Bulls are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 home games, 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
The Suns are still missing Landry Shamet and Terrence Ross is listed as questionable, while the Bulls are still missing Javonte Green. The Suns have been in great form lately and they looked dominant in their first game with Kevin Durant in the lineup, so it’s no surprise that they’re road favorites against the Bulls who were lucky to sneak past the Pistons in a two-point win on Wednesday. Durant will likely be on a minutes restriction once again, but the Suns still have more than enough firepower to get the win and cover against this inconsistent Bulls squad.
