The Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons duke it out at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in a slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after coming up short against the Raptors in a 104-98 road loss last night. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 23 points on nine of 14 shooting, Zach LaVine added 17 points while DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Bulls shot 52 percent from the field and 10 of 25 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Raptors in a close contest until the fourth quarter where they allowed the Raptors to pour on 34 points and slip away in the end.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in terrible form as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after getting thrashed by the Hornets in a 117-106 road loss on Monday. James Wiseman and Hamidou Diallo each scored 23 points, Marvin Bagley added 21 points off the bench while Killian Hayes tallied 12 points with 10 assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 45 percent from the field and a miserly three of 26 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and were never in the contest after getting outscored by 41-21 in the first quarter.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Pistons are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Bulls are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit and the Bulls are 12-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall.
The Bulls are still missing Javonte Green, while the Pistons are still without Jalen Duren, Isaiah Stewart and Isaiah Livers. It’ll be hard to find many fans to watch this game as we have two cold teams with little to play for in this one. There’s a little more optimism following the Bulls in this one as they were close against the Raptors last night, but it'll be tricky as they are playing on zero days rest. The Bulls are 12-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and I think that trend continues here as the Bulls get the job done.
