The Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors duke it out at the Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night.
The Chicago Bulls look to have moved on from their six-game losing streak as they are now aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Wizards in a 102-82 win on Sunday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 29 points and six assists on 11 of 15 shooting, Zach LaVine added 27 points while Nikola Vucevic tallied 16 points with 13 rebounds. As a team, the Bulls shot 50 percent from the field and eight of 30 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they held the Wizards to just 18 points in the second quarter to take the narrow lead into halftime, before they dominated the second half by 55-37 to make it a complete blowout in the end.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their four-game win streak snapped by the Cavaliers in a 118-93 road loss on Sunday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Jakob Poeltl added 13 points with nine rebounds and three assists while Scottie Barnes chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Raptors shot just 38 percent from the field and nine of 25 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense, falling behind early and getting outscored in every quarter in their worst performance in weeks.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record, 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Raptors are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points.
Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Bulls are 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings overall and the Bulls are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Toronto.
The Bulls are shorthanded once again as Goran Dragic and Javonte Green are still out, while the Raptors are still missing Otto Porter Jr. The Bulls have come to life with three wins on the trot and they looked good in their dominant win over the Wizards, but the Raptors have been quietly on a roll before they ran into the Cavaliers on Sunday, but they didn’t have Fred VanVleet who isn’t listed on the injury report this time. With that being said, I’m expecting a close game, but the Raptors are 8-3 ATS in their lats 11 home games and I think they can hold the fort in this spot.
