The Sacramento Kings invade the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to battle the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in great shape as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Spurs in a 119-109 road win on Wednesday. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 34 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, De’Aaron Fox added 31 points with 10 assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 22 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 53 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 61 points in the first half to take the early lead, before they used a 10-3 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and escape with the win.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a world of hurt as they’ve lost 11 of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a four-game slide after falling short against the Lakers in a 112-111 loss last night. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 26 points and 12 assists on 11 of 24 shooting, Aaron Nesmith added 24 points on nine of 12 shooting while Myles Turner chipped in with 20 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Pacers shot 48 percent from the field and 16 of 41 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 67 points in the first half to lead by as many as 15 points, only to let it go to waste in the fourth quarter where they got outscored by 28-15 to allow the Lakers to steal the game in a tight finish.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Pacers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-8 ATS in their last nine games overall.
Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Indiana and the Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Kings are shorthanded for this one as De’Aaron Fox has been ruled out due to personal reasons, while the Pacers currently don’t have a single player listed on the injury report. The Kings come into this one as the team in better form as they’ve won nine of their last 12, while the Pacers are mired in their worst slump of the season. The Kings are also 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, so with the line being so short, I’ll lean towards the Kings to take advantage of a struggling Pacers team playing their second game of a back to back set.
